CAUL and the Australian Society of Authors are pleased to announce the award of two fellowship for 2015.
The first to Dr Michael Davis, Honorary Research Fellow at the Sydney Environment Institute, The University of Sydney, for 'The making of Aboriginal heritage: Leonhard Adam and Anthropology at the University of Melbourne' using the University of Melbourne archives.
The second, for use by Dr Catherine Bell, Senior Lecturer in Visual Arts, ACU Gallery Director (VIC) and National Course Director of the Bachelor of Visual Arts & Design Degree at the Australian Catholic University for 'a studio investigation of sculptor Dianne Mayo's role in shaping Brisbane's cultural identity' using the Fryer Library at the University of Queensland.
The fellowship has been made possible through the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund. CAUL and the ASA award the fellowship to a creative project which will showcase university libraries’ special collections by providing artists, authors, scholars and researchers with an opportunity to work on a project that will benefit from concentrated access to at least one of these collections.
