McGraw-Hill content no longer available via Knovel

McGraw-Hill Professional has decided to end its business relationship with the Knovel Corporation in the academic market. Access to McGraw-Hill content will be available to Knovel's academic customers that started or renewed subscriptions in 2010 until either the end of their 2010 subscription or by December 31, 2011, whichever comes first. CAUL subscribers who renewed in 2010 for 2011 will continue to have access to the McGraw-Hill content until 31 Dec 2011. (20/1/11)

McGraw-Hill Professional launches new online resource in Pediatrics - 12 May 2011 AccessPediatrics provides searchable, full-text access to 13 leading McGraw-Hill pediatric medicine textbooks, including Rudolph's Pediatrics, 22e and Current Diagnosis and Treatment: Pediatrics, 20e; curricular management tracking and testing tools; more than 40 animations detailing pediatric procedures and exam walkthroughs, from descriptions of anatomy to the details of pathophysiology; Q&A for the Pediatric Board Exam; practical skill-building tools; and thousands of images.


McGraw-Hill titles removed from ebrary

"Per McGraw-Hill’s request, we will be removing all McGraw-Hill titles from our subscription databases including Academic Complete by December 31, 2011. We will be replacing these titles with e-books in similar subject areas, and the subscription databases will still grow approximately 10% this calendar year even with the removal of McGraw-Hill titles. ... We would also like to offer you the opportunity to purchase any McGraw-Hill titles, under our perpetual archive model, at a 20% discount through December 13, 2011." Contact ebrary. (18/11/11)

International AccessScience Consortium 

Update for 2003-4:  We have recently confirmed the pricing for the 2003-2004 season.  The pricing is viewable on SOLINET's web site, located at  The price is $.20 US per weighted fte.  The weighting schdedule is as follows:
University - 100% of students

AccessScience 2000 Consortia Pricing (March, 2000) [Members only]

CAUL has entered into discussions with international consortia Solinet (US), NESLI (UK) and two Canadian consortia for an international FTE-based subscription to AccessScience.  Beta testing will commence February, with free trials available April and May.  Aggregated FTEs from all consortia will close 25 May with an expected subscription start date of 1 June or 1 July.  Solinet will manage the international consortium; CAUL will manage the Australia/New Zealand coordination.
